so, towards the end of the semester my wireless card in my computer slowly started to die. this resulted in m using an Ethernet cable which worked great. until i got home and we don't even have that option.
lesson 1-Ethernet is handy.
so i made a handy little genius bar appointment at the apple store and spilled my problems, they so kindly ordered me a new card and replaced it-for free mind you.
lesson 2-buy apple care
so then i picked up my worn out macbook and took it home. it didn't work. no airport would even come up. so i decided to unscrew the back and figure out what was wrong. there were lots of different little screws and i think i put some back in the wrong place, after i couldn't even get all them off.
lesson 3-don't think you're natalie scott when taking a computer apart, because you are not and will not fix it
so i made another appointment and took it in. i figured i would just drop it off and they would fix it but the guy took it to the back and said a cable was unplugged, so he fixed it, and then i came back and it still wasn't fixed. i stumped the genius guy.
lesson 4-mac genius's are not all that genius-but very helpful and kind.
so then i left it there, and have not heard anything about it. so i am hoping this is how my next call from the apple store goes.
"yes, tricia? we have your computer, it is broken and can not be fixed*, but because you are such a loyal customer and awesome at everything you do, we are going to replace it with a new macbook, you can come pick it up tomorrow"
this would be the best day of my life. so please, be thinking of me as i sit waiting for this call to come.
i think this problem is because i have illegal softwear on my computer, the whole CS4 suite, which if they ask, i will tell them i bought and they need to replace because i have not even begun to have as much fun on it as it deserves.
whoaaa kid.
ReplyDeletethat's awesome!
i just hope they never find this post for that whole last statement thing.
but for now,
you're a loyal customer AND awesome at everything you do!
